To illustrate the cover and internal diagrams for the latest release from beloved New Zealand children’s book author, David Hill.

The internal diagrams (of a map and radio) where to have a realistic feel for the timeline yet have a creative flair to appeal to the youth audience.

Deep Creek Brewery
Brief
To create an illustration for the Cancer edition of Deep Creek’s Zodiac range. After researching the star sign I discovered that it’s a water sign ruled by the moon. Knowing the origins and personality of the brand I put together this concept of a crab hanging 10 on the moon.
*Due to a change in the seasonal beer brewed from a Hazy to a Hop Oil Red IPA, they decided to proceed in a different creative direction.

Tūhono Taonga Tūhono Tangata
Brief
To rebrand Tūhono Taonga Tūhono Tangata in a way that honours the current logo while bringing it into a contemporary space with soul and meaning.
The narrative behind this logo speaks of mātauranga Māori through the maunga ridge line meeting the wairua of te awa to form the rauru which symbolises tūhono taonga and tūhono tangata.
As the heart of this community initiative I saw it important to also visually include the whakapapa of trust founders; Jon Jeet and Irihāpeti Mahuika. This can be seen through these 2 elements coming together with the haehae representing their 9 tamariki.
The colour palette showcases the deep green that can be found in pounamu and the vibrant blue the Arahura often exhibits.
