The Artist
Kia ora e hoa! Ko Jono toku ingoa.
I’m an artist, designer and music enthusiast based in the beautiful garden city of Ōtautahi / Christchurch.
Since I was a young I’ve had a deep love for creativity and the power of art. Discovering the possibilities of the digital world during my high school years, I begun pursuing a career in Graphic Design. I graduated my Diploma in 2010 and began work the same year. I have spent my time since exploring and developing, working for award-winning agencies and businesses across Australasia.
Now working as a sole trader, I seek companies, products and events that look to contribute something good back to society. I love utilising my artistry to help build on others’ creative dreams.
If my ethos and work resonates with you, let’s organise a kōrero and together create something great!

Behind every successful creative endeavour is a lasting logo and bold branding. There’s no denying that the people sustaining your business, product or passion are at the heart of it, but it’s your logo and brand that reflects its soul! It’s through both that you can express who you are and what you value most. It’s for this reason I love this area of design.

Looking to bring a little more impact to your business, brand or band?! Illustration is a great way to stand out from the crowd with something unique. My artistic ways started with a pencil and paper so it’s great to be reconnected to that feeling via the incredible technology of a tablet and stylus. This digital innovation allows me to make more personal illustrations yet output and explore ideas more efficiently for your budget.

I have spent a lot of time in the Marketing world. This experience has taught me all the “Dos and Don’ts” for promoting yourself well. In truth it’s not all that complex, it mainly comes down to: who you are, who your people are, and how we can make it easy (and enjoyable) for your people to interact with you. Whether that’s through posters, flyers, brochures, business cards, web banners, social media or gorilla marketing; I’ve got you covered!

Packaging makes a difference. It’s how you catch your future supporter’s eye in a sea of competition. Your packaging not only serves a purpose but offers an experience for them. There’s many factors to consider: budget, practicality, environmental impact, as well as legal requirements. However, that’s what I’m here for, to make the whole process stress-free and enjoyable for you.

In a digitally driven world a website can be a big player in helping spread awareness of who you are and what you do. It can be a daunting project, but luckily I’ve had a few years experience on the tools now to build you something stunning. I have worked with Wordpress, Wix, Webflow and Shopify, however; Squarespace is my chosen platform to use. This is simply because it creates beautiful secure websites (as you can see) that view well on all devices, are easy to maintain/update and have all the analytic & SEO tools to assure it’s ranking high in google searches.
Process
The design process is like a musical composition, each stage plays a vital part. Here’s my streamlined approach:
-
Connect > Discuss
It all starts by connecting!
Let’s find a time to chat about your project. During this kōrero we can discuss your budget, your vision and your timeline. -
Create > Digest
This is where the magic begins. I will bring your ideas to life, creating a few concepts based off our discussion for you to look over, ponder and digest.
-
Connect > Develop
We can then reconnect to; lock in which concept you want to proceed with, discuss possible developments and determine if (and where) we need to pivot.
-
Complete > Dispatch
After we’ve developed the design to the best possible outcome; I will dispatch all artwork in the required file types and send an invoice, easy as!
