This mahi was 1 of 3 limited edition pieces carved for SCAPE Public Art as part of their 2024 season opening. These taonga were created as visual reminders to stay connected. Connected to our whakapapa, connected to our environment, connected with each other, and connected to our source of creation.

I wanted this taonga to be a real bold statement, it carried this not only through its size but its striking red binding.
